Jordan University of Science and Technology
Jordan University of Science and Technologies was established in1986 in the Northern part of Jordan. It has 11 faculties including 52 academic departments. Currently, almost 4000 student are enrolled in the engineering faculty. There are 150 Faculty members in the faculty of engineering. JUST has recently developed an Energy Centre in collaboration KTH with of TEMPUS project (JEP-30057-2002).The mission of the Energy Center at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST) is dedicated to improving energy sustainability through programs intended to support energy efficiency, renewable energy and environmental protection. Suhil Kiwan
Professor Suhil Kiwan received his MA in MEng in 1984 from Yarmouk University (JO) and his PhD in 1995 from Illinois Institute of Technology (IIT), Chicago, USA. He worked at Jordan ministry of energy and mineral resources until 1991. He was the director of energy and electricity information advisory center. Currently he is the director of energy research center at Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST). He served as professor of mechanical engineering at JUST and King Saud University (SA).During this period he supervised many MSc and PhD students in ME. He taught more than 15 courses in mechanical engineering both at the graduate and undergraduate levels. He is a co-founder of DESERTEC University Network (DUN) and TAQA network.
Fahmi Abu Rub
Professor Fahmi Abu Al-Rub obtained his BSc. (1988) and MSc (1990) in ChE and his PhD (1994) in Chemical and Biochemical Engineering, University of Iowa, USA. He is Dean of Research at JUST. He is a member board of trustees in Philadelphia University and a Key Expert in the EMUNI University-Slovenia which was established by the EU. Professor Abu Al-Rub is the key expert to develop the Master Degree in De-Pollution of the Mediterranean, an ENPI funded project. He is also an ABET Consultant for Hashemite University, member of the Editorial Board of the Recent Patents on CheE, and the Research Journal of Chemistry and Environment.
Ibrahim Ghareeb
Ibrahim Ghareeb obtained the B.Sc. (85), M.Sc. (88) and PhD (95) in electrical engineering from Yarmouk University, Jordan University of Science and Technology (JUST), and the University of Ottawa, Canada, respectively. Between 1988 and 1991 he was a lecturer and system engineer at the ministry of higher education in Jordan. Since 1995 till now he is an associate professor at JUST. He was a vice dean of graduate studies at JUST (2006-2009).
His area of research is digital communications with emphasis on digital modulation techniques, error control coding, wideband mobile and indoor wireless communications, multiple access for wireless high speed communications, spread spectrum and MIMO communication systems. He is a member of IEEE and JEA.
Qais Khasawneh
Dr. Qais Khasawneh received his BSc  (1999) From JUST and technology and received his MSc (2002) and PhD (2008) from the university of Akron, Ohio USA. He has been serving as an assistant professor in the mechanical engineering Department/ Mechatronics since 2009, and now he is the chairman of mechanical engineering department at JUST. His research activities involve MEMS, Nanotechnology, renewable energy, and control; he is a member of JEA. During this period he supervised many MSc students in ME. He taught courses in mechanical engineering both at the graduate and undergraduate levels.
