​As a part of the three years EU funded Project” Master Program of Environmental Engineering and Climate Change (MAPEC )” ,  The Department of Hoexter  of  OWL University is a lead partner among the 11 participating international universities . The project focuses on the compilation of teaching materials and the construction of laboratories for a new master's program in the field of environmental and climate change.
In this project the Harburg-Hamburg Technical University and the University of Innsbruck, are apart with the University OWL including two Portuguese universities, three Jordanian universities and three Syrian universities. In the period from 09 to 12 07.2012 at the TU Hamburg-Harburg and HS OWL Hoexter held its second workshop of the project.
In the first two days at the Technical University of Harburg, the curriculum of the course and the individual subject content of the modules have been discussed and agreed.
On the third day, the Jordanian participants in the project had traveled to Hoexter on 12.07.2012 and they have conducted together with German colleagues on a one-day workshop of the project.
After welcoming the guests by the Vice President for Academic and internationalization of the OWL University, Prof. Dr. Burkhard Wrenger, and the local project coordinator, Prof. Dr. Salman Ajib, the 8th Department were presented by Prof. presented Dr. Fettig, the location Höxter by Prof. Maßmeyer and the project by Prof. Ajib. Furthermore, two presentations on Jordanian universities by Prof. Al-Salayemeh and Prof. Ayoub shown.
Finally, the guests have visited some laboratories of the department in order to obtain an overview of possible acquisitions for the set up home laboratories.
Here, there was lively discussion of German and Jordanian partners. Integrated in the project is also a student exchange, for example in the context of the internship. For more information, contact Prof. Ajib, (salman.ajib(at)hs-owl.de).
