Al-Baath University –Homs-Syria

 

Al-Baath University –Homs-Syria Al-Baath University is one of the five governmental universities in Syria and it has 20 faculties, of which the chemical engineering department is one them. The department of chemical engineering is one of the four departments in the faculty of chemical and petroleum engineering. The department has 13 Professors, 18 Associate Professors and 10 Assistants, 20 engineers and 18 technicians. There are fourteen laboratories for research and training in the chemical engineering sciences. One lab concentrates on the environmental research work such as: water analyses and water Bio-treatment, soil pollution, air pollution and solid waste assessment. Since 2003 the faculty installed a pilot-plant for biological treatment of sewage water.
