Under the Patronage of the University of Innsbruck President, represented by The Dean of the Technical Engineering Faculty, the Fourth Meeting of MAPEC (Master’s programme of Environmental Engineering and Climate Change project) was held on July 1st - 3rd, 2013, at The University of Innsbruck, Austria, and was attended by all partners from Jordan, Syria, Germany, Austria and Portugal
Welcoming remarks were started by; Prof. Streicher who hosted and chaired the Opening of this meeting. Also he expressed his happiness to meet the Syrian partners in spite of unstable political circumstances.
On his turn the General Project Coordinator Prof Ahmed Al-Salaymeh started the first session by updating the partners about the progress in the project and followed up all uncompleted tasks, especially the course content of MAPEC courses.
All partners discussed and followed-up the assigned tasks among them and took decisions about the activities to be implemented as well as on the action as a whole for each partner work package deliverables.
Moreover this meeting was considered strategic and essential for an efficient preparing teaching material for MAPEC proposed courses, where partners have worked in three groups to discuss the prepared MAPEC courses, in order to finalize it before mid of September.
Finally the meeting was adjourned with the approval of holding the next Steering Committee meeting at Portugal in cooperation between Instituto Superior de Paços de Brandão and Paulo & Beatriz Consultores Associados Company from 27th to 29th of January 2014.
